So I was bored today while watching tv and decided to see how many footcandles my tv puts out.
I have a Vizio 32" LCD TV
This is what I found:
Brightness: 500 nits
So I had to find out what a "nit" is and here is my findings:
In lighting, the nit is a unit of visible-light intensity, commonly used to specify the brightness of a cathode ray tube or liquid crystal display computer display. One nit is equivalent to one candela per square meter.
So my 32" Vizio LC TV puts out 500 footcandles.
