Shulas 8/5/11

I was at a restaurant Shula's 347 and it was fairly late in the evening on thursday around 9pm. It was dark outside and the interior of the restaurant was dark wood and rich dark colors with cream colored walls. The booths and tables were all with the dark scheme and the bar was right there with the rest of it. It felt like with just the decor and furniture they were setting the mood. Except they weren't.

The lighting in the place was very simple but it worked very effictvly. The lights were small LED's lamps hanging from the ceiling down onto each booth and then recessed into the ceiling some more lights to fill the room. However, these lights werent bright at all and if anything they barely were on at all. But it was just enough. The lighting really brought out the mood in the place by making it seem fancy, calm but cool and modern with a rich look. It was darker to set the mood also for couples going out that night for a more intimate setting.
